Birdlife at The Landing

A Closer Look at Our Natural Surroundings

At The Landing, we’re lucky to be surrounded by native forest, wetlands, and coastline — a landscape that supports a wide variety of native wildlife. Over the past 20 years, our team has worked hard to restore and protect this environment, and today, native birds like tūi, kererū, pāteke, and even kiwi are thriving here.

This rich biodiversity is a direct result of ongoing conservation efforts and our long-term commitment to caring for the land. The regenerating bush and peaceful waterways now provide a safe haven for both wildlife and visitors to enjoy.

To help guests make the most of their time in nature, we’ve created Birds of The Landing — a pocket guide designed to help you spot and learn about the many feathered visitors you might see during your stay. It’s a simple way to slow down, look a little closer, and connect with the special landscape that surrounds us.
