Introducing The Landing Honey

December 08 2021

Up until recently our honey has only been available for our guests who stay at The Landing Residence to enjoy but it is now available to purchase on our website.

The Landing began planting native trees in 2000, with well over one million native plants and trees now planted. The majority of the trees planted for the honey production were Manuka and Kanuka which flower at different times of the year, allowing for the different honeys to be harvested separately.

There are also a wide variety of other plant species which creates a diverse pollen source for the bees and adds a rich flavour to the honey. As the native bush has matured the honey production has increased and there are now 20 hives.
