Juliette Hogan at The Landing

April 11 2019

The palette of The Landing estate provided a location for Juliette Hogan’s new collection.

Juliette Hogan is well known for her languid, elegant garments in muted, natural palettes. Her upcoming Autumn/Winter 2019 collection is no exception, with an earthy, neutral set of prints that calls to mind our landscape and architecture. The Landing made the perfect backdrop to showcase the collection, shot by Olivia Kirkpatrick over the spring.

The subdued neutral palette for the winter season is lifted with punchy tones of magenta and army, and textural highlights include the sumptuous, structural Quilted Velvet Smoking Jacket, the fine-gauge sheer merino layering pieces and soft yet sturdy brushed coating.

The season’s silhouette is clean and considered. There are wide leg pants in flowing sandwash silk, elegant wool suiting or the relaxed, figure-skimming drapey crepe dresses.

Once again taking wardrobe basics and elevating them with subtle detailing and unexpected fabrications, Juliette demonstrates her mastery of the subtle statement. We know at The Landing that sometimes beautiful simplicity is the hardest to achieve, but Juliette is a master at it.
