Introducing The Landing’s Laura Moreno

September 12 2017

We have recently welcomed Laura Moreno to The Landing team as Guest Service Manager. With her bubbly and down-to-earth personality and extensive previous experience, she has already added something extra to this very special place.

We asked Laura a few questions…

Your role is Guest Service Manager: What does this entail?

My role is to look after our guests. Before they arrive, I ensure that any special requirements are met and expectations exceeded, from dietary needs to requested activities. I am the main point of contact for guests during their stay, doing everything I can (with help from the rest of the team) to make sure their experience is an unforgettable one.

What previous roles have you held?

Before I came to New Zealand I was a flight attendant on a private jet based between Paris, London and Nice for 15 years. I spent two years hosting the McLaren Formula One Team, and my other passengers included many Royals, Heads of State and film stars.

What was your first impression of The Landing?

I saw it from the water and thought it was spectacular. The first time I drove through the gates, I felt a real sense of calm and spiritual wellbeing.

What do you enjoy about working at The Landing?

I feel very privileged to work in one of the most beautiful places in the world. The staff are all amazing and have made me feel very welcome. It is great to be part of a hard working team who love where they work.

What are your favourite things to do when you are not working?

In the summer I love to be on the water, boating with my friends, with good food, wine and the odd cocktail or two. I enjoy dancing, walking, yoga, swimming, reading and I am allergic to the gym!
